Description
Self Raising flour is a well kept secret of the British cuisine! No need to worry about adding the right amount of raising agent, this flour contains the perfect amount.
Recipe for Scones (makes 15 scones):
454g self raising flour
115g butter
85g sugar
285ml milk
Pinch salt
Mix flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Rub fat into dry ingredients and add enough milk for firm dough. Roll out mixture to approx. 1 inch thick on a floured board and cut with a 2 1/2 inch pastry cutter. Glaze with milk and bake at 215°C for 10 minutes.
Ingredients: Wheat flour, raising agents: monocalcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate.
